Project Status:
Twenty transmitters were displayed at this meeting. Visual inspec-
tion showed that six of these would be unacceptable from a mechanical
standpoint. The deficiencies were all in the area of case cover fit.
Test sheets were available for each transmitter. Power output looked
low for all units. Surprisingly, the measurements made in the low power
mode produced higher outputs than the measurements made in the high power,
mode. Mr.~ could not explain this since his area of concern is
strictly mechanical. Mr. was at a loss since his concerns are
administrative. Mr. - who is the project technician, avoided
an explanation by saying he merely made measurements as he was instructed
25X1A5a1 to do. Mr who is the project engineer and arranged this
meeting, was unavailable since he had to take his daughter to the dentist.
Ten units were taken on hand receipt. They will be checked at T&I
25X1A5a1 to see if- has learned to build the RT-49.
