Engineering Staff Monthly Report - December 1968
1. .Progress is being made on the "Maintenance Parts
List" backlog problem. A recent item-by-item review
resulted in a purge of some items which actually do not
qualify for'an MPL (since field maintenance is not
contemplated).
2. MAX II for Langley is still in trouble in terms
of going o erational. We are presently jousting with
25X1A5a1 , who have proposed a complete "lights-out"
shutdown to enable them to complete necessary additional
work; vis-a-vis our desire to maintain a partially useful
system while various retrofits are accomplished.
