roved For Refge 2001/08/28: CIA-RDP78-03090AOU0050005-0 C-O-N-F-I-D-E-N- T-I-A-L SPECIAL BULLETIN No. 4-63 17 January 1963 TO: Clandestine Services Training Officers INTERDEPARTMENTAL COUNTRY TEAM SEMINAR AT The fifth running of the Interdepartmental Country Team Seminar will begin 11 March and continue for five weeks. The schedule for the seminars during the remainder of 1963 is at the end of this notice. The course is known as the Interdepartmental Country Team Seminar (Problems of Development and Internal Se- curity). It is designed for key senior government officials (CIA, State, USIA, AID, and DOD are currently partici- pating) concerned with the critical countries designated by the Special Group (C-I) and with other areas where there is incipient or active insurgency. Subjects studied include the environments of developing countries, U. S. Govern- ment resources and activities in countering insurgency from the policy through the operational levels, and case studies of subversive insurgency. The Agency is committed to support this full-time course and Training Officers are urged to obtain nominations from their Divisions and Staffs. Candidates must be GS- 13 or above.
