Political, economic, geographic, social,
and military developments in the USSR,
as well as the foreign policy of that
country, are examined through lectures,
discussions, and films. Emphasis is on
current conditions in the Soviet Union,
but elements of the Tsarist period which
contributed to the Revolution and influenced
subsequent developments are also covered.
Guest speakers from other components
of the Agency supplement the instruction
given by the School of International
Communism.
