Submit Form 73 to OTR/RS/AIB, Room 832, 1006 North Glebe Road by 7 March 1969. DESCRIPTION The objective of this course is to introduce junior CS Officers to the major concepts, types of operation, potential problem areas, and Agency support capabilities relevant to covert action operations, and thus prepare them to support these opera- tions at Headquarters and in the field. The course is divided into four subject areas: Introduction to Covert Action; Types of Operation; Support and Coordi- nation of Operations; and Problem Areas in Covert Operations. Operations Officers with field experience describe various types of operation, highlighting the key operational considerations in- volved. Officers who have had Head- quarters and field experience in support of covert action operations discuss what is required in this area. Representatives of the various Agency elements that offer services in support of covert action operations describe the support capa- bilities of their facilities. The course concludes with talks on problem areas in covert action operations. Ample time is provided following each group of presen- tations for questions and discussion.
