CHANGES IN REQUIREMENTS FOR
INTRODUCTION TO INTELLIGENCE COURSE
Students attending the next Introduction to
Intelligence course (26 January through 6 February
1970) will need certain special clearances. To
facilitate the processing of clearances, Training
Officers should forward the date and place of birth
and the social security number of applicants with
the Form 73 (Request for Internal Training) at least
ten days prior to the start of the course. For
this session, Form 73's should be submitted to
OTR/ISS/AIR, Room 832, 1000 North Glebe Road
by 9 January 1970.
Students who have worked in the Agency for no
longer than two years will be accepted for the
January 1970 running of Introduction to Intelligence.
Eventually, the course will be restricted to employees
with less than 1 1/2 years of Agency service.
Four courses (Introduction to Intelligence,
Orientation to Intelligence for CT's, Introduction
to Communism, and The Communist Target: A Survey)
will eventually be merged into a single course.
The Office of Training plans a gradual evolution,
within a year, to this new orientation and familiariza-
tion course which will include a broad outlook on
world affairs and a new appraisal of communism.
The course will define the Agency's role as a
member of the Intelligence Community and will out-
line the Community's combined activities in the
intelligence cycle. ~ will be amended to 25X1A
