or Release 2001/04/23 A= L9M OAQl~Q$9,Q1 Q$E-Q)NLY SPECIAL BULLETIN No. 16-73 To: All Training Officers of the Agency DRUG ABUSE SEMINAR STATINTL Since the summer of 1972 all employee parents processing for overseas have been required to attend a Dru Abuse Seminar prior to their departure (Headquarters Notice o These seminars are not limited to parents and, alth required, any non-parent employee going overseas is welcome to attend. The seminars, each of two hours duration, are designed to inform the employee of the Agency's position on drug abuse, the effect of various drugs, their availability in overseas areas, the legal hazards and embarrassment implicit in drug abuse in foreign countries, and methods of identifying drug abuse. Each seminar consists of a short briefing by a member of the Office of Security, a presentation and drug abuse display by the Fairfax County Police Intelligence Department, and a panel discussion on the physiological and psychological effects of drug abuse by an internist and psychiatrist from the Office of Medical Services. DATES : The dates for the seminars through August 1973 follow: 17 July 14 August 31 July 28 August PLACE & TIME: Room GA-13 Headquarters; 1300-1500 hours REGISTRATION: Call Office of Security, extension 6639, giving your name and the name of your spouse, date you wish to attend, your division, extension, and estimated date of departure for overseas. The cut- off for registrations is 1200 hours each Monday preceding the seminar. Interested employees who are not going overseas are welcome to register on a space available basis.
