ADVANCED INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR (AIS)
The thirteenth running of the Advanced Intelligence
Seminar (AIS) is scheduled for two and a half weeks, full
time, 9 January through 25 January 1974. One of the core
courses recommended for specific stages of an individual
officer's career, the AIS is designed for experienced
middle and senior level officers (minimum grade GS-13)
from all components of the Agency. The Seminar is held
to about 25 members during each running.
The AIS begins with a brief review of across-the-
board problems of the Agency and the Intelligence Community.
It then concentrates its attention on a number of signifi-
cant international and domestic developments, particularly
as they bear upon the U.S. intelligence effort in the 70's.
The Seminar draws upon knowledgeable speakers from both
inside and outside government and strives to establish an
atmosphere of frank, in-death dialo
