It will be the responsibility of the Board to expand the retirement pra~ram within the Agency to include: a. The counseling of all employees who have reached volun- tary retirement age and those wha are about to res,ch that age concerning their accrued benefits, privileges, and obligations. b. Discussion with the employee of his plans to retire. c. The Ayaternatic review of the retirement plans oi' each r~uch errrployee, 2. The Hoard will act on-the understaridin.g that it is the practice in this Agency that an employee will normally xetire when he becamea eli~;ib3;e for retirement unless he is asked to remain in service. In reaching decisl.ons the Board will give full conaideratian to the persona]. plena, prefe~.~encea, and circumstances of each employee. 3. The following appointments to the ~3oard are hereby made: Lawrence R. Houston - Chairrnaxa Eric W. Timm o Member Otto E. Guthe - Me~mbex~ ~+. While there is no authority for deferring mandatary age r?atirement to enable an employee to obtain. this benefit,. any employee considering optional retirement before :1 July 1960 should be advised regarding the benefits of the plan and his eligibil..i.ty to participate by remaining in service. 5?
