Recently we received from the Civil Service Commiaefon a draft
ro for the processing of Involuntary disability retiromonts. We were
offered an opportunity to comment. Colonel White responded In a memoran-
dum dated 9 January 1968 indIcating that In order to ensure that we may
satisfy the now procedures while at the sane time protecting certain kinds
of information required thereby. ho has asked the Director of (Personnel to
discuss this matter with Mr. Oganovic in greater detail. When he signed
this letter, Colonel White stated his desire to be briefed on this subject
before we are committed to anything.
2. We provided each of you with copies of the documents referred to
above': In order that they could be studied preparatory to a meeting on the
subject. Will you please moot with me at 2 p.m. on' ednesdays 24 Januaryv
to discuss the problem areas which mt ht result from this proposed new
procedure for messing Involuntary disability retirements.
