We have obtained authority to employ three radio
tsohnioians to assist you in the installation of the Cyprus
station. 8eourity waivers have boon granted for this pur-
pose, so that unless we run into unforeseen obstacles in
rsoruiting we should be able to get them to you whsnsvsr
you need theaa.
We will attempt to recruit at least two of these
throe men with the proper qualifioations for monitoring
tmohnioians so that they can be used for monitoring opera-
tions if we so desire. It is also my desire to send these
son to school to learn splicing of the BOA-86/U cable. I
an not sure whether we can do this without olsaring them
for security, but certainly will attempt to in the interest
of the economy.
Pleas' let me know at the earliest possible date how
soon you will need at least one of these men and how soon you
will need all three so that we can be guided accordingly in
our rsoruitingo
