Inspection of FBIS Operations in Cairo
1. Attached hereto for your information and files is oopry of
the findings and reoawssadatieas contained in
report of inspection of the Mediterranean Bureau in Cairo made,
following his recent inspection of that station. It is recognised
that this report may contain errors and disor4psnsiee which should
be disregarded by you.
2. The following oorents concerning pertinent paragraphs of
this report are made with a view to affording you guidance and
obtaining the necessary action from you whore the need is indicated.
a. DEMIE!e It is understood that steps have been
taken %y you to properly rectify this condition. Please
indicate progress in this matter in your Ibmthly Progress Reports.

there are not sufficient ,American personnel for proper super-
vision of operations in Cairo. Remover, the reassignment of
additional editorial personnel to Cairo is not contemplated at
