but?ian you have rade to the establishment of the FBIS
station in Cyprus, which wM begin full-scale operations
on 15 April.
In making initial contacts in Cyprus, conducting
negotiations for the acquisition and lease of property for
construction and antenna rights, completing arrang+ants
with the District Engineer for construction of the station,
and remaining on the job in Cyprus as Agency representative
during the major portion of the construction phase, you
rendered an invaluable service to this organisation.
The administrative procedures and local procuivwNt
arrangements you initiated are of great value to the FBIS
staff in Cyprus and are contributing materially to the
smooth running of the organisation there.
