FDD Proms Communist China
The following program for Communist China was devised in June 1954
to meet the continuous needs of the IAC agencies as expressed by their
representatives on the Subcommittee for Exploitation of Foreign Language
Publications. This program has been pursued with continuous operational
liaison.
1. Weekl,y Economic Information Report on China
Covers information., generally in the form of summaries,, on agriculture,,
forestry., trade.. finance,, industry,, mineral resources., transportation,,
telecommunications,, electric power, water conservation,, and cooperatives
for Communist China. Sources include all available Chinese mainland news-
papers. Currently 23 titles are received. Published in FDD Summary series.
2. Biweek]X SocloLa . I tion Report on China
Covers information,, generally summaries,, on political organizations.,
minorities., manpower,, education,, health and welfare, and biographic for
Communist China. Sources include selected Chinese newspapers. Currently
ten titles are used. Published in FDD Summary series.
3. Monthly F131itary Information Report on China
Covers all phases of military information., including political and
economic activities of military personnel and military propaganda. Sources
include all available mainland newspapers. Currently 23 titles are received.
Published in FDD Summary series.
4. Monthly Index of Two Chinese Communist Newspapers
Gives titles of all articles,, including advertisements for the Peiping,,
Jew Jib,-Zao and Peiping,, Kw jen Jih-pao. Recently received Tientsin
Ta Kun Pao will replace the M en Jih?pao. Two papers are indexed and
organized separately by subject categories. Published as an FDD Reference
Aid.

Monthly Table of Contents of Chinese Communist Periodicals
Periodicals are organized alphabetically by romanized title. Report
includes all economic, scientific and technical periodicals received, and
selected political and sociological periodicals. Published as FDD Reference
Aid.
Mont Annotated Bibliographies of Chinese Communist Mom
This report includes all documentation, a review of contents, and a
level-of-readership evaluation of each monograph included, about 100 per
issue. Published as FDD Reference Aid. Discontinued after third issue,
in accordance with Subcommittee recommendation.
