Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2014/05/01 : CIA-RDP78-03153A001300030016-0 4 22 December 1953 MEMORANDUM FOR : C/TSS/TO SUBJECT : Electronic Cache Locator 1. .1n reference to your memorandum dated 1 December 1953 on the subject of Customer Requirements for Electronic Cache Locator, we feel that we would be able to utilize five (5) detectors and ten (10) trans- ponders. In addition to being valuable equipment for the subject of Caching in which we give training in the CFA course, we believe we would be able to give worthwhile experimentation of this equipment in our field training problems. 2. In answer to paragraph 3. of your memorandum (a) Answered above. (b) Since we include instruction dealing with both accepted and expedient packaging in our Caching training, we feel we might, with experimentation, be able to offer practical suggestions. (c) Answered above. (d) Our replacement of development units order would be very Meagre. 3. I would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention that the CFA course has quite a few field Problems built around opera- tional situations that would, I believe, offer excellent opportunity for testing equipment under field conditions. 4. We are extremely anxious to cooperate with you in programs of this nature. 1.:';C:CWi.1.111- NO.
