MEMORANDUM FOR: THE RECORD
SUBJECT : Maintenance Visit to
3 February 1955
On 27 January 1955 the undersigned visited
for the purpose of repairing the ultrasonic ,
burglar alarm system installed by this division some three weeks
ago at the above mentioned plant. After the unit had been operating
satisfactorily for approximately one week, it failed to reset when
the reset button was depressed. The contractor at this point shut
the equipment down and notified TSS/FED of same. of FED
requested that APD send a man to the plant for the repair job. Upon
arrival there, the undersigned examined the equipment and discovered
a broken soldered connection. It was resoldered with dispatch, and
the unit now performs satisfactorily. A permanent connector for this
breakdown point will be prepared in the APD laboratory and installed
at in the near future,
