3. Purpose: To discuss the design and fabrication of two additional
collapsing lens units
4. Discussion:
a. Collapsing Lens Barrels - Ad Hoc #38 - A set of
the attached specifications were hand carried to[::]and
discussed. Certain of the proposed modifications will be
difficult to incorporate; howeveroE]will give consideration

the type of markings desir on the lens to indicate the
lock and unlock directions of rotation of the barrel sections
to collapse the lens. Note: In discussing this problem with
Chief., TSS/PD., it was determined that the marking "0" should
indicate the direction of"rotation to unlock the lens and
"L" to indicate the direction to lock the lens. This information
will be relayed on to
