Disc ussion: (a) indicated that the 40" focal length F-6.3 Astro lens se ec a for incorporation in the collapsing lens barrel would be checked photographically using K.B.S. resolution charts to determine if it was within specified resolution and distortion limits within the 35 nom. format under consideration. Further photographic tests will be conducted and relevant data provided APD on the lens resolution and distortion at apertures of F-8 anA F-11. indicated that development on this project will be delayed if an Exacta VX camera and Leica camera with reflex housing are not provided on or before 21 October 1955. It was also pointed out that delays in payments of funds have caused necessary postponement of the purchasing of the 40" focal length Astro lens which in turn has prevented active development on this project. Any further delay in payments due will probably result in postponement of the completion date on this project. (b) Discussion was held with) (regarding the following: (1) Drawing Specifications - It was indicated that all future drawings submitted APD were to comply with the specifications noted in the recently co=iled Drafting Standards information sheet. inquired whether Deitsen paper would be satisfactory and indicated the need for APD engineers providing specifications numbers needed for incorporation on the drawings.
