SUBJECT: Informal Progress Report,
RD-103\ fcL3 '
This letter constitutes the Forty-seventh Monthly
Report, submitted in compliance with. Contract RD-103, covering
the month of February, 1960.
TASK 5. DEVELOPMENT OF AS-5 SYSTEM
System No. 2 has been checked out, with the ex-
ception of the power amplifier drawer. Most of the drawer wir-
ing is now complete, and its several sub-assemblies are current-
ly being tested. It is expected that final assembly of that compon-
ent will be completed by March 9, 1960.

will be moved to the Before shipping
System No. 2 to the East Coast, local testing will be made be-
tween the two systems.
TASK 8. AS-6 DATA TELEMETERING SYSTEM
The final report on the AS-6 Base Station is in the
process of publication and should be completed during the next
report period. The Field Unit final report will follow the Base
Station report through the publication process.
TASK 10. FABRICATION OF RS-16B
Work on the Instruction Manual is well under way
and should be completed during this reporting period. The four
battery packs remaining on this contract were delivered during
the reporting period.
