1. It was decided to visit: on June 21 to determine
the antenna system progress at first hand,
2. The overall system performance was reviewed and the following
highlights discussed in detail:
a. Intercept range - measurements at band indicate 40 feet of
range for minimum detectable signal from an isotropic 1 mw source.
b. D.F. Indicator - predicted accuracy to be much better than f 450,
indicator overlay to show 3, 6, 9, 12 clock positions with 30?
intermediate lines.
a. Antenna data was seen from pattern measurements performed by ALL
d, Operation and calibration phases were discussed with reference to
the system block diagram,
e~ The possibility of recording pulse stretched signals rather than
video signals was discussed.
3. The proposed systems test procedure was outlined,
4. At a need was seen for providing a console pilot
light to show that the system is in the operating phase. The
control for the light is to be one or more microswitches actuated
by the mechanical shutter mechanism.
