1. A conference was
held in Washington, D.C., on 2

for the purpose of discussing the URP-11 Thermoelectric Generator
program.
Those present
were:

2. In accordance with the directive of the Research and Development
Board, the Contractor was queried as to the feasibility of constructing a
single model of the URP-11 without the benefit of the extended study program
-which he had requested. It was determined that the cost for constructing a
single model would be approximately $50,000 and that the performance charac-
teristics of this model could not be accurately predicted at this time.
3. It was decided that as a means of terminating this program, it would
be most desirable to request the Contractor to prepare a complete paper design
of a working model based upon his present knowledge, and to provide information
as to the expected performance characteristics of such a model. The possession
of this information would provide a convenient starting point for any subsequent
re-activation of the program, should the requirements and needs of this Agency
so dictate.
4. estimated that an additional $5,000 would be necessary to 50X1
carry out s paper design. However, it was agreed that would prepare a 50X1
technical proposal and cost estimate at once and submit it formally to this
Agency through the Contracting Officer. The funds which were originally
authorized for this program have been completely expended. It will therefore
be necessary to request additional development funds to cover this final portion
of the program.
