a disc whose thickness determines the electrical characteristics and
whose mode of vibration would be across the thickness, and a rectangular
form whose length determines the electrical characteristics with the mode
of vibration longitudinal to the length. indicated that such 25X1

an effort would provide a filter having a lower insertion loss, be
cheaper, and smaller in size than conventional filters. The writer
informed 0 that the Government, at this time, has no real 25X1
interest in sponsoring such a development.
