STATEMENT OF WORK
Item 1 - Design and develo the Test Power Supply in accordance with
Specification No. as modified and supplemented by
Exhibit "D" of this propose .
Item 2 .. Fabricate 3 each of the Power Supplies developed under Item 1.
Note: Contractor has set, orth a unit price per each for
these Power Supplies and the Government may buy any
quantity up to three for the unit price indicated.
Item 3 - 1 each informal instruction manual shall be furnished with each
Power Supply delivered.

TECHNICAL DISCUSSION
As is the case with most miniaturized equipment, servicing of the~~unit 25X1
can prove to be quite inconvenient unless special test equipment is provided.
In recognition of this problem a development specification for Test 25X1
Power Supply, Specification No. was issued by the contracting
agency. 25X1
The purpose of the equipment outlined is to supply the voltages necessary
for operating any or all of the 0 subassemblies. At the same time it 25X1
will meter the voltages and currents so supplied. It is the intent of Con-
tractor to adhere closely to the provisions of the specification with the
supplements and modifications listed below,
The Test Power Supply shall provide all DC operating voltages re-
quired for operation of the in both the transmit and receiv- 25X1
ing modes. Voltages shall be supplied through power transfer plugs
presently mounted on the chassis. Switches shall be provided 25X1
on the Test Power Supply so a heater voltage may be applied to
all units on an individual basis.

The Test power supply shall operate from 120 and 220 volt, 50 to 60 cps
lines. Input voltage variations of + 20% shall be acctmmodated by the
use of a voltage regulating device in the input line.
Bias voltage and current shall be continuously monitored. Additional
voltmeters shall be supplied as required to monitor the remaining
supply voltages. A switchable current meter shall be provided for
measuring the input current to individual units, and the total +200
and 4400 volt line currents. A third instrument shall meter the 14
volt supply line. All supply voltages shall be separately switched,
the B4- voltages being interlocked with the 50 volt bias line.

It is Contractor's intent to supply equipment of the highest quality
incorporating the best of components and materials available. JAN
approved parts shall be employed wherever. favorable. Components of
new or advanced design shall be employed when they contribute materi-
ally to characteristics and performance of the equipment.
Drawings to be supplied shall be limited to engineering sketches con-
taining sufficient data for fabrication of additional units.
Contractor is presently submitting monthly letter reports describing progreso
on the various Tasks of this contract. Performance under any Task resulting
from this proposal will be included in the progress reports covering other
Tasks.
