Five amplifiers, Model 6070T and ten instruction manuals were delivered
February 15, 1961. The manuals give typical gain curves for the amplifier
and list a 31 db minimum gain. Gain may be greater than 40 db for some
units depending on power supply voltages. The minimum gain required for
the system is 28 db. Considerable difficulty was experiences when covers
were put on the amplifiers. In some cases, gain was reduced and the
circuit realigned to provide stable operation with the covers in position.
A complex feedback circuit was used in these amplifiers which provided high
gain and good skirts. This circuit is believed to be novel and will be
submitted for patent possibilities.
The same feedback circuit will be evaluated for the 500 to 1000 mcs range.
A discussion of the circuit will be included in the final report.
