1: On 19 and 20 August 1954, a joint meeting and inspection was
held at the T&E Section, Attending were 25X1
the following:

2. A total of 50 units were inspected and. 2 were found defective.
Serial #8057 had a shorted condenser C-3. Serial #8070 had a broken
dial mask and inoperative receiver. These defects represented a reject
rate of approximately 4% which is not considered excessive by the Govern-
ment. It was then pointed out by that every effort be made 25X1
to insure this low rate of rejects. At the same time, it was mutually
agreed that the specifications shall call for no frequency multiplication
greater than 3 times to produce the power output specified. 25X1
also left a copy:of the amended specificatiOn for the Agency to check.
Officially, this will be submitted by to the GOvernment in the 25X1,
near future. This consists of one specification with all relevant TAR's
and amendments inserted in the proper places.
3. Reference PSC-11.8-UNV covering the produc-fton of RS-6, four
units at the warehouse had been reported as rejects.

and corrected these defects and the units
are now acceptable. A separate report covers the repair of these units
for contractual purposes. It is also to be noted that the TO Section
has never received RS-6 units #7998 - 7999 & 8000. This was called
to attention and the Agency was informed that shipping records
from do not show these units. Therefore, checks are being made
to clarify the situation. Inspection reports DD-250 do not show these
units being inspected.
