BROADBAND ANTENNA, FILTER & DETECTOR SYSTEMS
Purpose: To develop a system of antennas, filters and detectors for
the 50 MC to 40,000 MC frequency range.
Personnel: Electrical Engineers:
Status: Effort was devoted to improving the impedance properties and
the patterns above 5 KMC of the 500 MC to 10,000 MC antenna
with some success. The SWR was reduced from 4.5:1 to 16:1.
The patterns are now considerably more frequency independent.
An investigation of strip line filter techniques was
initiated but is still in the preliminary stages.
Future Plans: The filter investigation will continue and work on the
antenna for use above 10 KMC will begin.
