On 15 February 1957, the contractor anticipated that delivery of the RS-11/series prototype equipment would start within 30 days. Because of the critical status of Cardwell it was agreed that an R&D representative would assist the company by supervision of final calibration and tests of the equipment prior to delivery. The contractor has been contacted twice weekly to inquire into progress and the readiness for testing assistance. f~ 2. advised this date that he did not feel that the company could start testing until 15 April and that the work would extend to 15 May 1957. The company was advised that the work must be terminated by 1 May, and a further offer of assistance was made. 0 specific reasons for delay were attributed to the loss of another engineer the company's chief engineer) and faulty model shop production of the receiver interconnector printed boards which were error6usly printed on 3 32" stock instead of 1/16" material.
