SUBJECT: RS-11/Series Equipment - e ep ne
1. On 15 February 1957, the contractor anticipated that
delivery of the RS-11/series prototype equipment would start
within 30 days. Because of the critical status of Cardwell
it was agreed that an R&D representative would assist the
company by supervision of final calibration and tests of the
equipment prior to delivery. The contractor has been contacted
twice weekly to inquire into progress and the readiness for
testing assistance. f~
2. advised this date that he did not feel
that the company could start testing until 15 April and that
the work would extend to 15 May 1957. The company was advised
that the work must be terminated by 1 May, and a further offer
of assistance was made. 0 specific reasons for delay
were attributed to the loss of another engineer
the company's chief engineer) and faulty model shop production
of the receiver interconnector printed boards which were
error6usly printed on 3 32" stock instead of 1/16" material.
(This is a $188.00 item)) .
