Reeq+a st for Lecture Concerning Production of
National Estimates at the Strategic Intelligence School
1. The Strategic Intelligence School conducts four regular
courses each year, plus a special course which is offered each
simser for Intelligence Reserve Officers. For each course
this Agency is requested to provide a number of speakers.
Arrangements for Agency participation in the course are made
by the Office of Training.
As you know from past experience, a discussion of
National Estimates is always a prominent item on the course
awe, and the School is eager to have the best possible treat-
asent of this important subject. Naturally, they would like to
bate you speak each time, if possible, and are always delighted
when you are able to appear. They also have been
_;ased with the presentations made by 25X1 A
I am told that who spoke in the 25X1 A
last eerurse, did a good job but was not quite up to the standards
by his predecessors.
3. We new have a request from the School for a lecture on
the subject, "Production of National Estimates, " an 19 November
1957, from 1110 to 1230 hours. Will it be possible for you to
speak at that time? If not, could you designate a speaker from
your stuff? I will appreciate having a reply as soon as conveeni-
