IN REPLY REFER TO Op -92 3P3B /mj Ser 3441OP92 AUG 2 6 1963 MEMORANDUM FOR DIRECTOR, CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY Subj: Selected Reserve Intelligence and Telecommunications Censorship Program Conference; CIA participation request for Ref: (a) Commandant Fifth Naval District ltr 07R/ND5/rp, 5050 2 August 1963 1. Reference (a) announces that the Fifth Naval District has scheduled a two-day seminar for Selected Ready Reservists with Type "A" mobilization order for various intelligence and telecommunications. The seminar will be presented on 21 and 22 September to approximately one hundred reserve intelligence officers. 2. In the past the Director of Naval Intelligence has requested STATINTL the services of IA orientation and briefing officer (CIA Missions and Functions) and discovered him to be outstanding in his work. It is requested that be permitted by Director, Central Intelligence Agency to attend the afore mentioned seminar and that he be permitted to present an appropriate briefing to the attendees. Earlier informal STATINTL correspondence wit reveals that he shall be free on the seminar dates and that he is willing to attend provided this request is approved. D.G.
