I have not written before now as I am trying to see how
much we can get together before September 7. Wright
Field has said they wish to have someone out here at that
time. It is making us step right along as we are trying
to do in a couple of weeks what other people have been
attempting to do in a like number of years.
We will have all of the charts and curves on the alternator
by then but I do not know that we can have a sleeve engine
hitched up to the alternator by that time. We have to
proceed at this stage of the game on the basis that in spite
of jets and turbines., gas engines are practical and do not
have to be designed fraM)tcratch.
I shall write you in approximately a week.
