1. A preliminary study of the IN-1 using a 9/16" dia. x
1 3/8" Daystrom Pacific variable resistor and a miniature turns
counter and knob assembly to replace the present 1" dia. x 2 7/16"
Fairchild variable resistor and gear train and counter design was
made.
2. The present engineering model Is 5" x 2 7/8" x 1 3/16"
over-all. The new layout based on the above changes would require
a package 3 5/8" x 2 1/2" It 1" over-all. The size requested is
3" x 2" x 1" over-all.
3. This study indicates mechanical and electrical fabrica-
tion time would be approximately equal to the previous design with
an additional 80 hours necessary to complete the new design.
