SUBJECT: Modification of
Reference: Memorandum to Chief, SP/EA from Chief, OC-E dated
15 November 1955 (X55-2231)
1. In answer to the problems posed in the reference memorandum
regarding the modification of the it is hoped
that the following will clarify and provide s c en ormation to
allow construction to be begun on the subject unit.
(1) It has been verified that power will
be entered around the equipment which you incorporate into

housing and that all other surfaces will be accessible and
free of obstruction.
(2) The physical position
will be such as to give an unobstructed view
of a verticle and horizontal angle equal to the lens pattern
(3) The surface of the housing must be smooth and even
enough to allow a single coat of paint to cover and obliterate
any mars, scratches or cuts made on the original.
E. Accessability
The equipment may be manualy activated.
F. Overall SSystem Sensitivity
Anticipated system sensitivity based on present video ampli-
fiers, i.e., approximately -75 db.
G. Filters Employed
A filter is being procured to establish the degree of attenua-
tion should the antenna be mounted
2. In regard to the utilization of a demand feature it is desired
that if such a unit can be incorporated into the present unit, it be done
in such a form as to allow it to be utilized in other and like projects.
This is to say a separately packaged feature.
