In addition, from the stand- point of reliability and easeof reproduction, it was also necessary to seek improvement in circuit layout and package arrangement. The prototype TA-lA has been assembled and tests indicate that additional work will be necessary to remove two deficiencies; namely, low power in the high band and high crystal current in the off-resonance condition. Design and construction of a prototype transmitter adapter similar in size and characteristics to the TA-lA with the added capability to operate over the 3-22 inc frequency range.
