of this Division,

ment. A review of present projects indicates the following should be
accomplished in the stated order:

2. Discussions held on the above projects have established the
following requirements for the items as follows:
a. Silver Cell Battery Charger - To be used for charging of
battery packs as developed in the E/AC-6. Have an input
power capability of 90-270 VAC at 50-60 cps. Output
regulated and limited to provide charging voltage at
L1.5% and currents limited to a safe rate as specified by
the Yardney Electric Corporation. Charging to be performed
preferrably on the battery pack rather than individual cell.
Investigation of possibility of regulating the supply by
use of gas cells.
b. Fixed Frequency Osc. E/IN-3 - Fabrication of 10 ea. tuning
fork osc. per prototype returned under SPD 6-606 incor-
porating the modifications as outlined in the above memo.
In addition, continue on a parallel to establish the
availability and usefulness of smaller tuning forks, ie.,
Hamilton Watch Company and low frequency crystals, ie.,
HEEMCO.

c. Variable Frequency Oscillator E/ IN-1 - Fabricate 5 ea
units per prototype and as outlined on R&.D Fab Drawing

d. Fixed Frequency Oscillator - (Unijunction transistor)
Development and Fabrication of 5 ea unijunction tran-
sistor reference oscillators as outlined in SPM 6-606,
Para 2 and ENG 6-1273, Para 4.
e. Continuation on a time available basis in the establish-
ment of feeds and antennae configuration of broad band
etched antennae.
3. In regard to Projects currently at the completion stage, ie.,
E/AC-6, since this Division had an immediate operational requirement
necessitating the delivery of one E/AC-6 with an extra battery pack,
it is requested that you procure an additional battery pack to complete
the required number of packs for the remaining units momentarily to be
delivered.
