Upod arrival on the afternoon, of 2 March 1954, found that two URR-10 units were about 90% complete and they were scheduled for testing on 3 March. Dial calibration scales for both units 'were in process of installation.' The afternoon was 'occupied by a general overall.inspection of the units being processed by It was agreed that mould run tests of the units against the specifi- cations and furnish the Agency with copies of graphs drawn of certain tests. Tests were to be observed and checked by of the Analysis and Appraisal Group of the R&D Laboratory. The following personnel were in contact with g6X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 50X1 - 2. March 3 and 4 were devoted to observation of tests against the specifications being conducted:by 50X1 3. The results of the general inspection of the two unp-lo units, along with the results of the tests run on one unit (Ser. No. 2) .are attached. Ten copies of the test data are included. 4. It will be found that certain test procedures do not follow the pattern of standard tests conducted by the A&A Group, and this re- port is not intended to contain the detail or completeness of a normal .analysis and appraisal. It is intended, rather, to be a check of the unite against the specifications. Time being a factor, along with available test equipment, the resulta'are not entirely complete, but should indicate the quality of the URR-10 prototype unit. 5. Only one unit (Ser. No. 2) was tested. .The second unit (Ser. No. 3) required fUrther work on the receiver-IF strip before the tests could be conducted. promised to run tests of this unit 50X1 upon completion and will forward the data along with the unit:to.the Agency. ?
