1. Considerable progress was made on this project during the month of July.
The overall design of the dispenser is rapidly nearing the "freeze" stage. The
configuration plus the suspension and bracing methods have been concluded. ?
There remains one major component that requires some consideration at this
time. This is the selection of two possible solutions to the hoisting problem.
The selection requires additional layout time and analysis before it can be con-
cluded.
2. Preliminary electrical data obtained from 50X1
was not encouraging regarding the amount ofpower 50X1
available for our emergency operational requirements. It is anticipated, however,
that provisions will be made to provide adequate power for all phases of the dis-
penser operation. We are proceeding on that basis.
3. Detail design and preparation of fabrication drawings are underway on the
following components: (1) Feeder Assembly; (2) Power and control boxes, and
(3) the paper cells or "clips". More and more of our engineering effort will be
directed into this phase of the project during the next sixty (60) days.

were 50X1
and on 24 July 1957 50X1
These visits were made for physical 50X1
and dimensional checks of the B-26 aircraft and for a generalized familiarization
of this type of aircraft with the engineers involved in the design and subsequent
testing for this development.
