1? Inside view of stainless steel burial container. The container was
in excellent condition. Inside was clean and dry. Outside had some
scratches which occurred during recovery.
2. Items which were inside container. All items were in excellent condi-
tion.
3, Same items. Photos 10 2 and 3 were taken at recovery site.
4. Contents of Japanese 5-gallon can. The small white specks are ants.
The ants were inside the can and had eaten all the padding material.
Items inside were packaged in HR.,45, HR-,49 and Japanese rubber. There
were no visual signs of the ants having eaten the plastic or rubber.
5. Inside the 5-gallon can showing ants. The can was in fair condition.
Some rust was evident., although no holes were eaten through.
6. Items from 5-gallon can before removal of packaging.
7. Items after removal of packaging. All items were in very good condition.
8. Items which are bright-looking were in the 5-gallon can. Other items
were in bamboo tube. The bamboo tube was eaten away.
9, Items from the 5-gallon can. Japanese rubber.
10. The sheath knife and matches were in the stainless steel container.
The other items were in Japanese rubber, Photo 9,
11. Items which were in bamboo tube before packaging removed.
12. Items after packaging removed. All items were in very good condition.
