Enclosed are two sets of working drawings of the incinerator
These should provide y[.i with a basis for obtaining estimates on the
cost of commercial production of this unit.
In accord with your recent request, we have been attempting to
obtain cost estimates for the unit in lots of 1, 10, and 50 from
fabricators in Columbus. The data obtained from three companies were
based on the fabricator using: (1) Type 304+ stainless steel sheet
rather than Type 310 stainless steel sheet as is now called for on the
drawings; (2) louver punching dies furnished by us; (3) 1-1/2- and 2-inch-
diameter stainless steel pipe for the air inlets; and (4+), in general,
standard-sized sheets of stainless steel and black iron as required.
The figures did not include the cost of the motor and blower. The cost
estimates obtained are as follows:
