PREPARATION OF INERT ITEMS

SECRET
A requirement has arisen for the fabrication of inert units
for use as training aids. The specific units required are:
1. 3.5" Incendiary Adapter
2. External Gas Tank Grenade
3. Incendiary Head
4. RDX Blasting Cap
5. Shaped Charge, Mk. II
6. Shaped Charge, Mk. III
7. Connector Detonator Cord
8. Adapter Booster.
Each of the above items will be engraved or stamped, in a clearly
visible place, with the word INERT. They will each be packed in
their own individual high impack styrene plastic box fitted with
hinged lid, with the exception of Item #1. Suitable blocking
covered with a velvet-type cloth will be placed in each box to
hold the units. Item #1 will be delivered in individual wood
boxeq fitted with hinged lids and hasps. The attached cost
estimates reflect the price for the fabrication of twenty-five
and fifty of each of the above items. A third cost estimate is
attached to cover the costs of four artist drawings showing the
sequence of operation for each of the following units.
