SUBJECT : Request for Initiation of Task 16 under Contract
RD-132 wit Schenectady,
New York ( - AM,, ME Program)
1. Description of the Project
This project is to test and evaluate the new Latching Radio Switch
System (LRS-1).
2. Purpose of the Project
The purpose of this project is to test and evaluate the new LRS-1
system. This system is designed to enable an operator, from a remote
location, to turn a surveillance type transmitter off or on on command.
It will be tested under various environmental conditions, rough handling,
etc. However, the most important information we wish to derive from
this program is the reliability and operational suitability of this
system for Agency requirements.
3. The Recommended Contractor
The recommended contractor for this project is the

There are no support requirements necessary from other Government
agencies. This program has been fully coordinated with TSS/ASD.
5. Total Cost
The total estimated cost of this program will be $17,670.00, including
a fixed fee of $1,414.00, for a fourteen month period of performance. Charges
are to be made against Allotment Number 9-2502-75-901.
6. Security Information
Contract RD-132 is an Agency sterile contract. Task 16 should also
be Agency sterile. Government interest may be shown. The item per se is
classified Secret. Agency interest in all work and material under the
contract and task is classified Secret and may be divulged only on a
need-to-know basis to appropriate security approved personnel.
