Attended meetings in this office with Chief of Logistics, Supply, Real
Estate, General Counsel and General Services personnel with respect to outside
imprevements at This office was notified on 24 June that PBS of
could not negotiate ea con ract this year because the contractor could not obtain
financing for the work. The matter was discussed with the DD/A, and the decision
was not to attempt to complete the contract negotiation during this fiscal year.
The course left open is to attempt to obtain the money through the normal PRC
procedure during FY-54.

Meetings were held with personnel of the I&R Staff, DD/P (charged by
Inspector General with responsibility for review of these projects), in an effort
to arrive at an agreeable working arrangement for the combined review by that
