SUBJECT . Executive Career Service Representation
on the CIA Training Selection Board
STATINTL REFERENCE
1. Recently I was informed that the Executive Career Service
(the DCI Area) has not been represented at meetings of the CIA Training
Selection Board when nominees to the various "quota" courses are evaluated
and selected. This obviously could easily result in an inadequate presenta-
tion to the Board of the E Career Service nominee's qualifications, thus
placing him or her at a subtle disadvantage competitively with candidates
from the four Directorates who are represented.
2. In order that the E Career Service nominees can be assured that
they receive consideration on a par with the nominees of each Directorate,
it is requested that you approve the designation of the Chairman of the
Executive Career Service Board as a full voting member of the CIA Training
Selection Board.
