Dear Mr. Rodriguez:
Having had contact with you in the past with regard to the Advanced Management
Program, we believe that we should advise you that we have revised in important
ways the application form and procedure for participation in the Program. For
this reason, we are sending you, enclosed, two copies of the revised forms, and we
would request that any old application forms you might have on hand be destroyed.
The new application procedure and style has the following objectives:
1. To provide more complete information with regard to the
present and planned responsibilities of the candidate.
2. To clarify for you our expectations with regard to sponsorship
and reference letters.
3. To eliminate certain irrelevant questions.
It is generally understood, but it bears repeating, that Harvard's executive
education programs are designed for professional managers, regardless of sex or
ethnic background, whose experience and accomplishments have marked them for success.
We encourage participating organizations to identify opportunities to select qualified
women and members of minority groups as candidates for AMP.
We are also enclosing a copy of the most recently published brochure des-
cribing AMP. Please note that I have come on board as Administrative Director of
AMP with the retirement of Mr. Van Gorder. Please contact me if I can be helpful
in any way.
Sincerely,
GAW:nmv
