Russian Space Vehicle Land-i, ngz_on Venus
The Soviet documentary, Hello tained as a result
of the FBIS, The film surveys 25x1
the Soviet's soft-landing on Venus, and contains purported launch
sequences of the space vehicle.
North Vietnamese Film on AIr Defense
Defense of Hanoi and Haiphong is the main theme of a North Viet-
namese nriqduced film recently acquired through the DD/I
OSR and 0$I analysts are reviewing the film or posse e
additional information on SAM launching techniques in North Vietnam.
Documentary on Soviet Missile Technology
A videotape recording of the Soviet film, For the Sake of Life On
Earth, was obtained from FTD/USAF and screened on 11 December. One
sequence in the film, of special interest to Agency analysts following
Russian missile activities, shows a warhead being affixed to a missile
in the launch silo.
Support to DD/P Stations Overseas
A total of 79 films covering training, tradecraft, and feature film
subjects were loaned to DD/P stations overseas.
Examples of Other Service Activities
Screening of a film showing use of the microdot in clandestine
transmission of information.
Preview and editing of an Agency film on operational use of a
Boeing 727 aircraft in making personnel and cargo drops.
Screening of three documentary films on regions of the USSR were
scheduled for an OTR language class.

PHOTO SECT'I'ON
In response to a crash request, the Photo Section's "Crash Lab"
produced 1,150 photographs of personalities for Wce President Humphre,:'s
trip to Africa, and 465 personality photographs for President Johnso+n's
trip.
In response to a. request from the DD/P, the Section obtained 125
photographs of U.S. space vehicle tracking stations in Africa.
As part of the CR.S reorganization, 30 cabinets of photographs
were transferred from the Section to the newly activatedF
1)ivis ion.
TECHNICAL SERVICES STAFF
The Service Staff answered 25 service calls on photo and reproduc-
tion equipment in CRS.
DOCUMENT LIBRARY BRANCH
Retirement
During the month of December, 86 Fours of overtime were expended
retiring 800 boxes of source cards, totaling approximately 15,000 cards.
The TOP SECRET Document File prior to 1961 was retired to Records
Center. Each document was listed by control number, date of document,
and copy number. The balance of the file is to he microfilmed.
Document Request
DLB received a machine run totaling 822 charge-out cards from one
requester. This request will be filled at the rate of 100 documents
per day.
