Following is a summary covering damage inflicted on Agency occupied buildings by the hurricane which occurred on Friday, 15 October 1954. a. 1 2 J and K Buildings Tree limbs fell on several parts of the chain link fence along the reflecting pool side of I, J and K Buildings. These limbs were removed on Saturday morning, 16 October 1954, to the satisfaction of the Physical Security Branch. Little or no damage was sustained. Labor cost involved in removing limbs from the fence, approximately $10.00. b. Tempo L Building Major damage to the fence in front of L Building was caused by the up-rooting of three large trees. The fence was demolished in three locations; trees were removed and temporary repairs accomplished on Saturday, 16 October 1954, to the satisfaction of the Physical Security Branch. Arrange- ments have been made to accomplish permanent repairs as quickly as possible. Estimated cost of damage including labor and material, $385.00. c. Recreation & Services Building The wooden gate and fence located by Quarters Eye and Recreation & Services Building (rear) were badly damaged. PBS carpenters are now engaged in effecting permanent repairs which are expected to be completed by 21 October 1954. Estimated cost of damage, $400.00 .~ V111 1UL-11 I I"*_ no Change In Mass. i ass. Approximately 100 feet of chain link fencing at~ 25X1A6a was blown down. Temporary repairs were made yb PBS on Sunday, 17 October and permanent repairs will be started on 20 October . Estimated cost, $250.00 Two windows in the were broken with replacement scheduled for 19 October. Electrical service for floodlighting expected to be turned on momentarily. Telephone service at restored on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. Meta an glass sky light blown off roof opening. Lessor inspected damage Monday morning, 18 October and is taking immediate action to repair same. Awning over window on west side of building torn from wall. Estimate cost for repairs, $30.00. Six window lights broken. Lessor notified through PBS. In order to avoid uncleared personnel entering secure area, window sash was removed and taken to the first floor for re- pairs. It is expected that such repairs will have been made by the close of business, 18 October. Contractor's shanty blown over with minor damage to canvas tops of two trucks. Estimated cost of damage, $25.00. Two window lights broken. PBS replacing same on a non- reimbursable basis. 2.
