A survey was 25X1A6a made on 29 April 1953 with reference to providing a sufficient water supply for domestic consumption and fire protection in the event of low city water pressure or disruption of the city water supply system. 2. The survey substantiates the statements made in the reference memorandum and the following proposals are suggesteds a. Provide a 200,000 gallon steel storage tank on the high ground now the office building. Tank to provide for "complete outage" of the city water system for a minimum period of five (5) days. Estimated Cost . . . . . . . . . . . . . . X20,000.00 b. Provide booster pumps to take supply from either (or both) the city system or the storage tank, to maintain a mini- mum water pressure of 40 lbs. Estimated Cost . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The drainage area surrounding the pond is not considered sufficient to maintain the required water level.
