MEMORANDUM TO THE HEADS OF EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS

There has been some adverse publicity recently regarding the
purchase of nonstandard furniture and furnishings by certain
officials.
I thought you might wish to call the attention of your administrative
staff to the several Federal Property Management Regulations which
we have issued on this matter. They are listed on the attachment
to this letter for ready reference.
