Significant sections of the Federal Property Management Regulations
(FPMR) governing acquisition of furnishings and other supplies:
Section 101--25.105 establishes, by exampJ.e, those
items considered to be for personal convenience and
for which Government funds should not be expended
and prohibits procurement thereby to satisfy personal
desires.
Section 101-25. 302 prescribes entitlement criteria for
.executive office furniture and furnishings for Government
employees based primarily on rank or grade.
Section 101-26. 301-1 requires prior approval by GSA
through the Commissioner, Federal Supply Service for
procurement from commercial sources of items similar
to those available from GSA stock.
Section 101-26. 401-3 requires prior approval by GSA
through the Con:irnissioner, Federal Supply Service for
procurement f.rorn commercial sources of items similar
to those available from Federal Supply Schedule contracts.
