SUBJECT : evaluation of the USIB File and Program Catalog
System
1. 1 have reviewed the File and Program Catalog and find no
entries of interest to DDS activities nor am I aware of any requests
for information from the catalog. There are, of course, programs
listed which iaave been or are being used in support of DDS applications,
the Time Sharing Monitor (ISMOiv) for example, but these uses are not
related to the catalog entries.
2. We do not plan to submit DDS originated files or programs
for catalog listing because they are almost exclusively Agency pro-
prietary, and listing the general type of files and programs which
concern us would not appear to be consistent with the overall content
of the catalog as presently constituted. For these reasons completion
of the questionnaire would not seem to serve a useful purpose.
