1. I have been authorized to tell you and other USIB/IHC
members the Department of State believes that work on a
Content Control Code should be continued and that the Depart-
ment will consider a request to participate in a test of the
Code.
2. The Department will also take the Code concept
into account in the design of the Thesaurus for its document
handling system.
3. We look forward to discussing further any proposals
for testing the Code in application to documents produced and
received by State.
